OBOR Journalists Forum kicks off in Beijing

BEIJING, Jun. 20 (MNA) – The 'One-Belt One-Road Journalist Forum' officially kicked off on Wednesday morning local time in the Chinese capital city of Beijing, MNA correspondent reports.

Before the opening, the participants took a group photo in front of the venue of the meeting, the CUC (Communication University of China) International Conversion Center.

The Vice-President of All-China Journalists Association Hu Xiaohan opened the meeting and introduced the distinguished guests of the event.

The minister of the state council information office was the first who got behind the lectern. Then, he was followed by the president of All-China Journalists Association Zhang Yannong.

After him, the President of the Russian Union of Journalists Vladimir Solovyev addressed the gathering.

The President of the Confederation of ASEAN Journalists, Thepchai Sae Yang, delivered his speech afterward.

The speech by the President of the Federation of African Journalists was the final part of the opening ceremony.

The conference is attended by more than 100 delegates from 52 countries.
