During the morning session, the opponents and advocates expressed their views and comments about three other nominees for Roads and Urban Development and, Culture and Islamic Guidance and Industry, Mine and Trade Ministries Abbas Akhoundi, Reza Salehi Amiri and Mohammad Shariatmadari, respectively.
The three picks also described their plans and programs regarding their likely posts in President Rouhani’s cabinet.
Spokesman for the Iranian Parliament's Presiding Board Behrouz Nemati said “it is likely that one or two ministers will not gain enough votes,” adding that the debates will end by noon tomorrow.
During the 4 days of debating the plans and competence of President Rouhani’s picks for his second-term cabinet, the MPs declared their comments for and against 13 picks, Seyyed Mahmoud Alavi, Ministry of Intelligence, Masoud Karbasian, Ministry of Economy and Finance, Mohammad Javad Zarif, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Seyyed Mohammad Bathaei, Ministry of Education, Ali Rabei, Ministry of Cooperation, Labor and Social Welfare, Seyyed Hassan Ghazizadeh Hashemi, Ministry of Health and Medical Education, Ali Hojjati, Ministry of Agriculture, Seyyed Alireza Avaei, Ministry of Justice, Amir Hatami, Ministry of Defense, Abbas Akhoundi, Ministry of Roads and Urban Development, Mohammad Shariatmadari, Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade, Seyyed Abbas Salehi, Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, Mohammad Javad Azari Jahromi, Ministry of Communications and Information Technology.
Parliament will continue with the remaining cabinet picks, Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli for Interior Ministry, Bijan Namdar Zanganeh for Ministry of Petroleum, Habibollah Bitaraf for Ministry of Energy and Masoud Soltanifar for Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports on Saturday.
