Iran 'not to be indifferent to US violation of JCPOA'

TEHRAN, Jul. 04 (MNA) – Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister Majid Takht-Ravanchi referring to US failure in committing to international obligations, said ‘we cannot be indifferent to the US approach to JCPOA.’

Takht-Ravanchi made the remarks in a meeting with Secretary-General of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development Christian Masset on Monday.

Masset, who is in Tehran to hold the third round of political talks between deputy foreign ministers of the two countries, discussed ways to expand bilateral ties between France and Iran with Majid Takht-Ravchi.

Pointing out that the implementation of JCPOA is a shared responsibility of all parties and in this regard, the Islamic Republic of Iran has fulfilled all its obligations, Takht-Ravchi said we expects the opposite sides to fulfill their obligations too.

Masset, for his part, emphasizing the full implementation of the nuclear deal and pointing to common opportunities on relations between the two countries, pointed to the country's determination to develop relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran expressing the hope that cooperation would increase in all bilateral, regional and multilateral fields.

The two sides also discussed the cooperation of the two countries in countering terrorist threats and resolving regional crises.

During the meeting, necessary protests were leveled against France for giving permission to the gathering of MKO terrorist group in Paris.
