Rouhani tasks Security Council, FM to pursue Mirjaveh attack

TEHRAN, Apr. 28 (MNA) – Iran’s President Rouhani has tasked Supreme National Security Council and Ministry of Foreign Affairs with following up on the Wed. terrorist attack at Mirjaveh in Sistan and Baluchestan province which killed 10 Iranian border guards.

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani called on the Secretary of Supreme National Security Council Ali Shamkhani and Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif to look into the terrorist attack carried out by Pakistani Takfiri militants on the frontier with Pakistan at Mirjaveh in Sistan and Baluchestan province which killed 10 Iranian border guards. He stressed serious and diligent efforts so as to prevent similar cowardly attacks in the future.

The Iranian President further called on the Pakistani government to take responsibility for the attack and hasten in taking measures for identifying and prosecuting the perpetrators.

A terrorist group calling itself Jaish al-Adl has claimed responsibility for the deadly attack.
