Iran condemns Paris terrorist attack

TEHRAN, Apr. 21 (MNA) – Bahram Ghasemi, the Spokesman of Iran’s Foreign Ministry condemned the terrorist attack of late Thursday in Paris and offered sympathies to the French.

“Unfortunately compromising and sometimes supporting the murderous terrorists, which recount West’s double standard way of treating terrorism, have made the terrorists more serious to conduct another terrorist attack in the heart of European continent,” said Bahram Ghasemi, the Spokesman of Iran’s Foreign Ministry on Friday. He made the remarks after a gunman opened fire at police forces on Champs-Élysées street of Paris late on Thursday. The gunner killed a police officer and injured two other officers and a pedestrian.

Ghasemi reiterated that terrorism is the top and most urgent threat against peace, stability and security of the world and called upon the international community to reach an agreed understanding of the phenomenon to muster an honest will to eliminate it.
