Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif made the remark in a meeting with Latvian deputy FM Andrejs Pildegovics in Tehran on Monday, adding “there are ample opportunities for both countries to expand bilateral cooperation on agriculture, extraterritorial cultivation, and transportation.”
Zarif also highlighted the need for bolstering share of the state-run organizations and the private sectors in both countries for developing cooperation.
Level of mutual cooperation indicates that grounds for the expansion of relations for both sides are well prepared, Zarif added.
Latvian deputy foreign minister, for his part, called for expansion of cooperation in road transportations, shipping line and aviation.
He went on to add that Latvian companies are willing to broaden cooperation with Iran in land transportation mainly in North to South corridor.
The Latvian official also called for expansion of cooperation in other sectors such as tourism and Persian Language courses.
