Heads of govt. branches call for massive turnout in Feb. rallies

TEHRAN, Feb. 08 (MNA) – The heads of three government branches called for massive participation in rallies to mark the anniversary of the Islamic Revolution victory on February 10.

Speaking among reporters after the joint meeting of the three executive, legislature and judiciary branches, held on Tuesday, President Rouhani, Ali Larijani and Sadegh Amoli Larijani urged all people to massively participate in rallies of the Islamic Revolution anniversary due on February 10.

“The people of Iran will prove their unbroken ties with Imam Khomeini and Ayatollah Khamenei through their large participation in rallies,” Rouhani told reporters.

Iranian nation bind its dignity, independence and national sovereignty to the Islamic Revolution and each year displays its belief with massive turnout in rallies to mark the anniversary of the Islamic Revolution's victory, he added.

Pointing to the meeting of three governmental branches, Rouhani noted the heads have decided to hold their periodic meetings more frequently "according to what people expect us to take effective steps to solve problems."

Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani also pointed out that passionate presence of Iranian nation in this year's national celebration will grant a new meaning for the country’s endurance, stability and security. “Nation’s participation is a crushing response to the false statements, quibbles and rants.”

Larijani evaluated as good the current status of the Islamic Republic of Iran on the international stage, adding "some comments about our country suggest that the behavior of Iran is rational and precise; the enemies look for scenarios, on which we provided plans, programs, and responses in our periodic meeting.”

Judiciary Chief Ayatollah Sadegh Amoli Larijani also underlined that Iran's enemies should know that in case there are differences in preferences between people and officials, they are united and hold same concerns in matters of national security and interests.

He noted that massive turnout proves that the people and officials have the same voice in defending the revolutionary ideals and values.
