FM condemns Peshawar terrorist blast

TEHRAN, Sep. 04 (MNA) – Foreign Ministry spokesperson has condemned terrorist blast which hit Peshawar in northwest of Pakistan on Friday evening.

Bahram Ghasemi told reporters in his official reaction to the suicide attack in the vicinity of a court in Peshawar that the Foreign Ministry strongly condemned the blast which at least killed 13 of citizens and wounded 50 others, while offering condolences with the families of victims and people at large.

"Still the international responsibility remains on the place to address the cruel events in the region on the face of atrocities afflicting the people on daily basis; fight with extremism entails strong resolve and global coordination, to which Foreign Ministry calls international organizations," Ghasemi added.

“At least 13 people were killed and over 50 injured in Mardan sessions court attack which occurred hours after four suicide bombers tried to storm Christian colony in Peshawar. All four were killed by security forces. Northwestern Pakistan was struck by two separate militant attacks on Friday,” wrote Indian Experess on Saturday edition.
