In his congratulatory message on Monday, the Iranian official has commended medal winners of Iranian medal winners in the 31st edition of Summer Olympic Games.
“Much vaunted young people of the country competed against opponents with full vigour and mightiness and achieved excellent results in a number of sportive fields bringing joy and pride to the Iranian nation,” said Ali Larijani.
He further stated “in spite of efforts in some other sportive events, Iranian athletes missed medals and the issue needs to be analyzed and reviewed in order to eliminate defects and also to improve preparedness and capabilities for subsequent periods of the games.”
“I feel obliged to felicitate the eye-catching performance of Iran’s Kimia Alizadeh who became the first Iranian woman ever to win an Olympic medal,” underscored Larijani congratulating all Iranian ladies on the glorious victory.
At the end of his message, Iran’s parliament speaker once again hailed successes of Iranian sportspeople and wished honor and dignity for the country’s youth.
