Maj. Gen. Ataollah Salehi appointed Brig. Gen. Ali Arasteh to the position on Saturday. He replaces Air Force Brig. Gen. Mohsen Darehbaghi. Arasteh had served the Army Ground Forces Coordinating Deputy before.
In a second appointment, Maj. Gen. Mohammad Bagheri, Chief of Staff for the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran, appointed Darehbaghi as the new deputy for Armed Forces Deputy Chief of Staff for Support and Industrial Research.
