Iranians design automatic dressing wounds machine

TEHRAN, Jul. 09 (MNA) – Researchers at an Iranian knowledge-based company have designed an automatic trolley machine that can clean and dress wounds under sterile conditions.

Mohmmad Naderizadeh, the CEO of 'Iran Tavana' knowledge-based company and the project manager, told Mehr News correspondent that the machine was designed by his company for the first time, adding “in this cleaning trolley machine, there are two buckets, one for infectious and the other for noninfectious substances, an electric height adjustable basin, a cleaning system with a peristaltic pump, and a separate compartment with photoelectric sensor for disinfectants so that the dressing wound process would be done automatically.”

Naderizadeh went on to note the benefits of the product as easy transport, cost-efficiency, rechargeability and low-power consumption. He also added that the whole process of cleaning and dressing the wounds could be done by one person.

“The machine has been designed to be used in various sections of a hospital such as orthopedic, surgery, and infectious diseases sections,” he said.

According to him, the machine is the first of its kind that can manage the process of cleaning wounds automatically, and the company will begin its mass production by late August.
