Shamkhani arrives in Moscow

TEHRAN, Jun. 27 (MNA) – Iran's Secretary of Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Shamkhani has arrived in Moscow to meet and talk with Russian officials.

Ali Shamkhani, who serves as the senior coordinator for political, military and security affairs with Syria and Russia, is expected to discuss issues concerning Syria as well as future developments in the country.

Iran, Russia and Syria have agreed to step up cooperation in their fight against Takfiri terrorist groups wreaking havoc across Syria and elsewhere in the region.

Russian and Syrian Defense Ministers Sergei Shoigu and Fahd Jassem al-Freij visited Tehran in June 9 this year and discussed ways to boost anti-terrorism cooperation in a trilateral meeting with their Iranian counterpart Brig. Gen. Hossein Dehghan.
