Mr. Sajid Javid, Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills and Iran’s charge d'affaires Mr. Mohammad Hassan Habibollahzadeh met in London on Friday to discuss bilateral trade and commerce.
Mr. Javid has reportedly announced that Britain would vote for Iran’s membership in WTO and provide British companies facilities to participate in Iranian economic projects.
Mr. Javid also dubbed Iran as one of the world's emergent markets, adding that British companies welcomed participation in Iran’s investment projects.
“An economic delegation will pay a visit to Tehran in upcoming May,” said Mr. Secretary.
Delegation, Mr. Javid believed, clearly sent messages to Iran about British resolve to work with Iranian companies to secure bilateral interests.
Mr. Habibollahzadeh for his part, said Iran would also provide due facilities to British companies for their participation in Iran’s bonanza of economic projects of oil and gas, transportation, mines, air industry, auto-making industry, water and energy.
He also emphasized upon British commitments in JCPOA implementation and suggested that removing banking restrictions would encourage trade and stimulate investment and commerce.
