National sitting volleyballers rout Brazil

TEHRAN, Mar. 20 (MNA) – Iranian Men's national sitting volleyball team won against Brazil in the fourth encounter of 2016 World ParaVolley Intercontinental.

Iranian para volleyballers won three consecutive sets against Brazilian rivals 25-23, 25-21 and 25-19 marking their fourth triumph at the event.

The Iranian squad had previously prevailed over the US (3-0), host China (3-0) as well as Egypt (3-0) and will face Germany on Monday as the last group-stage match.

Meanwhile, Iranian women sitting volleyball players thrashed also downed Rwanda (3-0) to celebrate their second victory in the tournament.

Women national team had previously conceded three defeats against Ukraine, the US and Brazil before they overcame Canada on Saturday.

The 2016 Intercontinental and World ParaVolley in Men’s and Women’s sections is underway in Hangzhou City, China from 17-23 March 2016.
