At the beginning of his visit to Turkey, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif arrived in Istanbul of Turky on Saturday morning.
“We are seeking the best economic relations with Turkey in the post-sanction era,” Zarif told the reporters at Istanbul Atatürk Airport adding “in view of the common threats, exchange of views on regional developments marks one of the main goals of the trip.”
The Iranian FM is scheduled to have a working luncheon with his Turkish counterpart Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu before meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu to discuss bilateral relations as well as regional developments.
Turkish prime minister recently paid a visit to Tehran at the head of a top-ranking delegation including five cabinet ministers and 160 businessmen.
