Dialogue dominant method to resolve political conflicts

TEHRAN, Mar. 07 (MNA) – Underlining that militancy period is over, Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani said all political conflicts and issues can be solved through dialogue.

“Iranian nuclear issue was resolved through dialogue and not through sanctions; problems and conflicts in the region can be solved through dialogue as well, however, some countries impede the formation of consultations due to personal interests,” Larijani said during his meeting with Maltese Foreign Affairs Minister Mr. George W. Vella on Sunday.

Pointing to the need for an increase in economic and parliamentary cooperation between the two countries, Larijani said businessmen in Iran and Malta should become more familiar with each other's investment capacities. “Malta is located in a key and effective geographical position which can play the role of an exchange axis between Iran and the Europe.”

George W. Vella, for his part, referred to the flow of foreign economic and political delegations across the world to the Islamic Republic of Iran, saying Iran’s commitment to the obligations and the implementation of JCPOA has caused many countries to reconsider their relations with Iran since Iran is a rich country in terms of energy reserves, as well as opportunities to invest.

Maltese FM, referring to the need for further cooperation between Iran and the Europe Union to ease international, regional tensions, said, “We believe that Iran holds sound analyses of regional and trans-regional issues, which would help the European Union resolve the issue and establish security.”

On the necessity of expansion of cooperation between Iran and Malta, George W. Vella pointed to education, banking relations, production, shipping, tourism, medicine and Hospitality as the suitable fields of cultural and trade cooperation between the two countries.
