Zarif in Tehran, wraps up EU trip

BRUSSELS, Feb. 17 (MNA) – Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, leaving Brussels later on Tuesday, arrived in Tehran Wednesday morning.

Following intensive talks with EU officials in Belgium, Javad Zarif wrapped up his 2-day visit to Brussels on Tuesday night.

He arrived at Mehrabad Airport on Wednesday morning.

During his visit to Brussels for political meetings in European Parliament , Zarif met with a number of officials, including Belgian Foreign Minister Didier Randers, Prime Minister Charles Michel, EU Foreign Policy Chief Federica Mogherini, chair of the European Parliament’s delegation for relations with Iran Anusz Lewandowski, President of Belgian Chamber of Representatives Siegfried Bracke, chair of the European Parliament's Foreign Affairs Committee, President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker and the President of the European Parliament Martin Schulz on furthering cooperative ties with the European Union.

He also attended the Royal Institute for International Relations known as the Egmont Institute and European Parliament's Foreign Affairs Committee and held press conferences covering a wide range of regional, cooperative issues.
