UK, Iran embassies to resume visa issuance

LONDON, Feb. 05 (MNA) – Addressing the media after their one-hour meeting in London on Friday, Iran’s FM Zarif and his British counterpart Hammond announced the resumption of visa issuance in embassies in Tehran and London.

"An important step toward having all-out bilateral relations especially in economic and trade areas;" this is how Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and his British counterpart Philip Hammond described the eminent resumption of visa services within the next weeks in their embassies in Tehran and London.  

The two sides insisted upon developing mutual ties in post-JCPOA era in the joint press conference after having an hour long breakfast together.

British Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond and his Iranian counterpart Mohammad Javad Zarif also promised to make their best efforts to remove the legal obstacles ahead of improvement of bilateral ties.

When questioned about banking problem for Iranian businessman, the British official reassured to follow up the problem and resolve the issue as soon as possible.

Also Zarif told the media he would discuss banking problems in the meeting he would have with the British Chancellor of the Exchequer George Osborne on the same day.
