‘US, West complicit in Zionists’ genocide in Gaza’

TEHRAN, Aug. 05 (MNA) – Iran’s Secretary General for High Council for Human Rights Mohammad Javad Larijani has said US and western countries are complicit in Zionists’ genocide in Gaza Stip.

In a TV program on Monday night, Larijani said that today the Zionist regime is weaker than before and aims at destroying the Resistance power but had to suffer a greater destruction itself.

“Today Resistance is more powerful and their missiles can reach any points in the occupied land and the Israeli regime cannot estimate Resistance’s operations,” said Larijani and that “Resistance owns a serious and important strategy which is a new phenomenon today. Islamic resistance was the school of the Islamic Revolution of Iran and Imam Khomeini; that school is now manifested in a school of resistance fighting against the imperialism."

Iran’s Secretary General for High Council for Human Rights added that the Zionist regime invested in war and military fields and estimated that due to recent developments in the Muslim world resistance would not have any support and people would escape once Israel attacks them for the first time but it did not come true.

“According to the international human rights laws Palestinians can use any means to defend themselves to drive the aggressors out of their land, while the Gaza seizure is another crime added to the profile of aggressors,” said Larijani.

He called on all Muslims to defend Gazans and said that mere condemnation of Zionists offensives in Gaza is not enough and some practical measures should be taken.

He asserted that all countries who support Zionists and help the Israeli regime to have more and more nuclear stockpiles are responsible for the genocide and must be questioned. And added that the United States is the direct major complicit in Zionist regime’s massacre in Gaza.

Israel has been hammering Gaza since July 8 through air and land; at least 1,865 people have been killed – including around 400 children – and over 9,000 civilians have been injured so far.
