TEHRAN, Nov. 26 (MNA) – The Iranian foreign Minister has said that the Zionist Israeli regime's actions amount to war crimes, calling for carrying out of arrest warrants for the regime's leaders immediately.

Abbas Araghchi made the remarks at the 10th Global Forum of the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations which was held on 25–27 November 2024 in Cascais, Portugal on Tuesday.

He lambasted the inaction and indifference of the international community and international bodies against the Zionist Israeli regime's crimes, calling for the swift carrying out of the recent arrest warrants issued for the Israeli regime leaders by the International Criminal Court (ICC).

Araghchi noted that the United States and the other Western backers of the Israeli regime have to be held to account as they are an accomplice in the regime's crimes.

Denouncing the occupation regime's long-standing abuse of the concept of "anti-Semitism" to silence any criticism and protest against Israel's war-mongering and aggressive policies, the top Iranian diplomat stated that achieving peace in the West Asian region requires materializing the right of the Palestinian people to self-determination and ending the occupation and apartheid.

On the sidelines of the UN meeting on Tuesday, Today, the Iranian Foreign Minister held meetings with Foreign Ministers of Bosnia, Slovenia, and Portugal and discussed bilateral relations, especially the current situation in the West Asian region.
