TEHRAN, Nov. 25 (MNA) – The Iranian Foreign Minister has called on the international community to not allow the Zionist Israeli regime to normalize committing crimes and genocide.

Araghchi made the remarks in the extraordinary meeting of foreign ministers of the group of friends of the United Nations Charter to discuss the humanitarian situation in occupied Palestine.

In his speech, the top Iranian diplomat explained Tehran'ss positions regarding the latest developments in the West Asian region, warning against the further undermining of the United Nations' validity as a result of its continued inaction in the face of the Zionist regime's genocide and full-scale aggression.

He stressed that the international community should not allow the Israeli regime's unlawful actions and aggression to become an ordinary thing.

Stopping the genocide in Gaza and ending the Zionist regime's aggression against Lebanon requires a global coalition to hold to account, bring to justice, and punish the Zionist regime's leaders, as well as to hold accountable the regime's arms suppliers and financial, and political supporters, especially the United States, the top Iranian diplomat added.

He also highlighted the abuse of the concept of "anti-Semitism" by the Zionist regime and its backers to silence any criticism of the Israeli regime, and the need for the UN Secretary-General to regularly report to the Security Council and the UN General Assembly on the humanitarian situation in occupied Palestine, as well as to collect and record cases of violations of humanitarian rights, including war crimes, crimes against humanity, and genocide, in order to present them to domestic courts and competent international tribunals.

He welcomed the reset arrest warrants against Israeli leaders, calling on the international community to ensure full and immediate implementation of the verdict against Netanyahu and Gallant.

The occupation regime's invocation of the principle of 'legitimate defense' to attack the Palestinian people, kill women and children, and destroy Gaza's infrastructure is completely unjustifiable, Araghchi said, noting that the occupation regime has no such right against the occupied people.

Araghchi concluded by reiterating the shared responsibility of the international community to stop the genocide and killing of innocent people in Palestine and Lebanon, and emphasized that protecting the United Nations Charter and the noble principles and rules contained therein requires effective collective action to end the crime and killing and to try and punish the leaders of the Israeli regime.
