TEHRAN, Apr. 08 (MNA) – The Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian met and held talks with his Syrian counterpart Faisal Mekdad in Damascus on Monday in second leg of his regional tour.

Emphasis on the development of cooperation between Iran and Syria, especially the increase of business interactions, the examination of the most important regional and international issues were on the agenda of this meeting.

Heading a parliamentary political delegation, the Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian left Muscat for Damascus, the capital of Syria on Monday.

Earlier on Sunday, the Iranian top diplomat traveled to Oman to discuss regional and international issues.

Upon their arrival in Muscat, the Iranian delegation was welcomed by the officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman, the ambassador, and members of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
