TEHRAN, Mar. 09 (MNA) – Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and his Omani counterpart Sayyid Badr Al-Busaidi held a phone conversation on Friday night to discuss the developments in the region.

The latest developments in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, as well as the recent resolution of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Member States of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Saudi Arabia's city of Jeddah, were among the topics discussed between the top diplomats of Iran and Oman.

Amir-Abdollahian and Al-Busaidi also emphasized the necessity of the collective effort of Islamic countries to immediately stop the Israeli regime's genocide in Gaza and to send humanitarian aid to the besieged enclave.

Criticizing the hypocritical behavior of the United States regarding the sanctions-lifting negotiations, the Iranian foreign minister hailed the continuous effort and initiative of the Sultan of Oman regarding this issue.

They also conferred on the bilateral relations between Tehran and Muscat during the phone conversation.
