TEHRAN, Jul. 08 (MNA) – Iran’s team has finished sixth at the First Asian Women’s U16 Volleyball Championship held in China.

The First Asian Women’s U16 Volleyball Championship took place in Hangzhou on July 1-8.

As many as 11 teams competed in the championship; Pool B of the event featured Japan, Australia, and Iran.

Led by Shaban Khamseh, the Iranian girls beat Australia but fell short against Japan.

The Iranian teens were defeated by Kazakhstan and ranked sixth at the sporting event.
