Consular, immigration, justice, and international police officials participated in the meeting.
The twelfth Iranian-Japanese consular meeting aimed to exchange views on nationals’ affairs, backing citizens of both sides and cooperation of university students.
The two countries also discussed judicial agreements, visa and immigration issues, and joint cooperation between the two sides on illegal immigration, combating crimes and drug trafficking and transferring convicts.
Iran and Japan enjoy a long-standing relation and nearly 15,000 Iranian nationals reside in Japan.
