TEHRAN, Oct. 12 (MNA) – A 6.3 magnitude earthquake struck the island of Crete in Greece on Tuesday, according to the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC).

A magnitude 6.3 earthquake struck the Greek island of Crete on Tuesday, the European Mediterranean Seismological Centre said.

The quake was at a depth of 2 km, EMSC said.

Some other sources put the magnitude of the earthquake at 6.2.

No further details have been released on the news and the possible damages.
