TEHRAN, Jan. 02 (MNA) – A 5.8-magnitude earthquake jolted the cites of Torbat-e Heydariyeh and Khaf in the eastern Iranian province of Khorasan Razavi at 8:02 local time (GMT+3:30) on Thursday.

According to Iran’s Seismological Center affiliated to the Institute of Geophysics of Tehran University, the quake’s epicenter was at the depth of 8 km, near Sangan.

No casualties have been reported yet, while rescue teams have been immediately dispatched to the affected areas to assess the situation.
