TEHRAN, Mar. 04 (MNA) – Iranian Industry Minister Reza Rahmani announced on Monday that the country could manage to earn $8 billion of foreign exchange from exporting minerals during the current Iranian calendar year (ending March 20, 2019).

Making the remarks in a meeting with economic activists in Fars Province, Rahmani added that the current value of Iran’s mining sector stands at $20 billion per year.  

The minister also said that the government seeks improvement of productivity of domestic mining industry in the upcoming year as well as protecting Iranian investors in this sector.
