TEHRAN, Dec. 05 (MNA) – 93% of Iranian goods exports and all oil exports are carried out through the country's maritime borders, according to the commander of the Iranian Navy Admiral Khanzadi.

The Commander of Iranian Navy Rear Admiral Hossein Khanzadi made the comments on Wednesday in a ceremony to commemorate the National Students Day in the northern city of Gorgan.

“93% of Iranian goods exports, 83% of our imports and all oil exports are carried out through the country's maritime borders, Khanzadi noted.

The Navy Commander further added that “for nearly 10 years, the Navy has had constant present in the Gulf of Aden, and this presence is important for our country's economy and foiling pirate attacks.”
