TEHRAN, Nov. 27 (MNA) – An Iranian company alone exports an annual volume of 14,000 pairs of nano silver socks to neighboring countries, such as Pakistan and Azerbaijan, according to Iran Nanotechnology Innovation Council.

An Iranian company has managed to export an annual volume of 14,000 pairs of nano socks to Pakistan and Azerbaijan in the past six months.

According to INIC, the keen interest of Pakistani markets for the Iranian-produced nano socks has now expanded to other neighboring countries, namely the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The company’s CEO, Gholamreza Khatibifard, said an annual volume of 2,000 pairs of nano socks are currently being exported to Azerbaijan.

He said exports to Azerbaijan is in its initial stage, but the Iranian nano socks are getting in high demand.

He said the socks are anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, antiperspirant and anti-odor. He added that the raw materials for producing the socks are also obtained from Iranian companies.

According to a 2017 report released by Iran’s Customs, about 214 tons of women’s socks worth over $2 million were exported to neighbors including Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, and Iraq, in a five-month period.

Iran was also exporting the product to such European countries as Spain and Norway, according to the report.
