TEHRAN, Nov. 24 (MNA) – Iran’s anti-narcotic police forces have successfully seized 1.181 kilograms of different drugs in the southeastern province of Sistan and Balouchestan.

The Police Chief of Sistan and Balouchestan province Brigadier General Mohammad Ghanbari broke the news on Saturday, saying that two smugglers trying to transfer the drugs from Saravan region, near Pakistan's borders, were captured during the operations.

783.67 kilograms of opium, 77.1 kilograms of heroin, 26.725 kilograms of Morphine, 338.67 kilograms of other drugs, and 10 magazines of AK-47 along with 629 bullets were seized in the operation, Ghanbari noted.

Iran is in the forefront of the fight against drug trafficking and thousands of Iranian forces have been so far martyred to protect the world from the danger of drugs.

Earlier in October, the police siezed 1.764 kilograms of different drugs in the same region.
