TEHRAN, Nov. 03 (MNA) – The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has issued a statement commemorating the anniversary of the US embassy takeover on 13th of Aban (Nov. 4), saying the decline of US power is a product of Iranian nation’s resistance.

The 13th day of the Iranian month of Aban (November 4 this year) which marks the anniversary of the US embassy takeover in Tehran in 1979 and dubbed as ‘National Day of Fight against Global Arrogance,’ is commemorated every year with massive rallies across Iran with participation of people from every walk of life.

“The 13th of Aban in the culture and history of the Islamic Revolution, and the continuous and relentless struggle of the Iranian nation against the United States, contains meaningful and inspirational messages,” the IRGC statement says.

The statement describes 13th of Aban as “the symbol of the Iranian nation’s struggle against America and the Arrogant powers in the modern time.”

The Revolutionary Guards also call the US embassy takeover as a necessary action containing a humiliating message for the White House, adding that it showed the authority of the Islamic Republic versus the the gradual decline of the United States' power.

The statement also calls for observing the recommendations of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution in order to neutralize the enemies’ plots, especially in the face of the economic war against the country, calling on people from all walks of life to join the 13th of Aban rallies as a sign of authority and unity against the American regime.
