TEHRAN, Nov. 01 (MNA) – Iran and the the Iraqi Kurdistan region on Thursday have examined ways to facilitate border and business transit between the two sides.

In a meeting between Iran's Consul General Iran in Irbil Morteza Ebadi and Iraqi Kurdistan's interior minister, Karim Sinjari, the two sides exchanged views on the latest developments in Kurdistan Regional Government, as well as the security and trade ties between Tehran and KRG.

The Iranian official, Morteza Ebadi, expounded on the measures taken recently for strengthening trade and business ties as well as facilitating border and trade transit between the two sides, which was welcomed by the Iraqi Kurdistan's interior minister.

The two sides also called for regular meetings between local officials in a bid to further facilitate transactions.
