TEHRAN, Oct. 28 (MNA) – Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) in its latest report put the customs revenues of the country collected in the first half of the current year (March 21-Sept. 21) at $2,571,428,571, showing a record high in all-time history of the country.

More than $2,571,428,571 worth of customs revenues has been collected since the beginning of the current year up to Sept. 21 with considering the guarantee letter received from importers.

In the same period, $1,309,523,809 worth of tax and Value-Added Tax (VAT) has also been collected in customs offices of the country.

In this regard, $1,749,523,809 worth of customs revenues has been collected in cash basis without considering any guarantee letter received from importers.

According to this report, IRICA receives a part of VAT and toll rate at the time of importing goods into the country, based on which, the customs revenues will exceed the said rate considerably.
