Based on an agreement between Iran’s Ministry of Science, Research and Technology and AUF, the association is slated to provide the necessary grounds for Iranian students to enjoy research opportunities in France or other French speaking countries.
The agreement comes in the wake of the recent talks between Iranian deputy minister of science, research and technology for international affairs, Hossein Salar-Amoli, and officials at AUF’s Middle East office.
During the meeting, the two sides stressed the importance of expanding joint scientific cooperation, inlcuding provision of conditinos for Iranian researchers to use the French academic opportunities.
AUF is scheduled to hold a conference in Iran next year on the potentials of broadening collaborations with Iranian universities.
Francophonie University Association is an international organization representing countries and regions where French is a lingua franca or customary language or a significant proportion of the population are French speakers. The organization is active in the fields of culture, science, economy, justice, and peace.
