The two countries are steadfast to boost trade and business activities with each other vehemently, he added.
Speaking in a get-together meeting with a number of economic activists in Karaj, Alborz province, he pointed to the long history of political, cultural and social ties between Iran and Lebanon and said, “introducing Iran’s high production and industrial capabilities is necessary with the aim of expansion of trade and economic ties with Lebanon.”
Lebanese businessmen and merchants do not have enough information on Iran’s industrial and production capabilities, he said, adding, “accordingly, setting up several expert-level meetings with Lebanese businessmen and introducing Iranian-made products have been put atop agenda.”
Lebanon is a good target market for supplying Iranian products in this Arab country, Sajjadnejad added.
A draft on the facilitation of trade activities and a trade agreement have been signed between the two countries, he said, adding, “currently, we are following up on necessary measures in order to compile a list of Iranian goods for exporting to Lebanon.”
Under the agreement, a number of goods and products will be exempted from customs duties, which will certainly lead to a boost in activities in the lucrative markets of the two countries, he observed.
In his visit to the exhibition of industrial and production capabilities of Alborz Province, Iran’s economic attaché to Lebanon said, “effective steps will be taken for introducing a variety of Iranian products to Lebanon.”
Alborz province is home to more than 3,500 industrial and production units, and some part of products developed by these industries are exported to other countries.
