Hosseini has signed a three-year contract with the Turkish club for an undisclosed fee.
His transfer to Turkey had many ups and downs in last two months and reached a point where he claimed that his former team, Esteghlal FC, has seized his passport so that he cannot exit the country. However, the transfer has been made today finally.
Hosseini held a presser with Turkish media after signing the deal in Trabzon. Expressing happiness for joining the good and popular team of Trabzonspor, he hoped that the team would have a successful season with the help of coaches, players and fans.
“My first priority is to do my best and show me greatest performance in Trabzonspor,” he highlighted.
Trabzonspor has formed through a merger of Trabzon city’s local clubs in 1967 and has won seven Turkish Super Lig titles. Their last title was achieved in 1983-84 season and officials have aimed better rankings in the current year.
The Turkish club has signed another Iranian player, Vahid Amiri, on July 21.
