TEHRAN, Jul. 21 (MNA) – The screening schedules for Spanish-language psychological thriller ‘Everybody Knows’, directed by Iranian filmmaker Asghar Farhadi, have been announced in various countries and film festivals across the world.

Asghar Farhadi’s latest production, ‘Everybody Knows’ (Todos lo saben), which opened Cannes Film Festival this year, will be screened in Argentina from 6 Sep., Spain from 14 Sep., Germany from 7 Sep., and Italy from 8 November.

The Spanish-language psychological thriller, written and directed by Farhadi, stars the Oscar-winning Penélope Cruz as a mother (Carolina) who travels with her family from Buenos Aires back to her small hometown outside Madrid, Spain, for a celebration. The family’s trip is plagued by unexpected events that threaten to tear the loved ones apart.

The film also stars Javier Bardem as Carolina’s husband.

‘Everybody Knows’ will also take part in the following film festivals in the coming months:

Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Sarajevo Film Festival (10-17 August); Denmark’s CPH PIX Copenhagen International Film Festival (27 Sep. – 10 Oct.); opening film at Turkey’s International Antalya Film Festival (28-30 Sep.); Mexico’s Morelia International Film Festival (20-28 Oct.); and Sweden’s Stockholm International Film Festival (7-18 Nov.).

Iranian filmmaker Asghar Farhadi gained international recognition after his 2012 drama ‘A Separation’ brought him a Golden Globe Award as well as two Academy Awards for Best Foreign Language Film. He went on to awe the world’s audience with 'The Salesman', which received 2016 Canne's Best Screenplay Award, and also making him one of the few directors world-wide who have won the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film twice.
