TEHRAN, Jul. 08 (MNA) – The 2nd office of Iran Nano China Center (INCC) inaugurated on Saturday in China’s Guangzhou, the first being in Suzhou.

The new office aims to facilitate bilateral cooperation between Iran and China in the field of nanotechnology and also, to boost interactions among companies of the two countries, the official website of Iran’s Nanotechnology Initiative Council (INIC) reported.

The inauguration ceremony was held with the consul general of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Guangzhou Khalil Shirgholami, secretary general of INIC Saeed Sarkar and representatives of Chinese organizations and companies in attendance.

Guangzhou Municipality’s technology committee, Guangzhou chamber of commerce and WTOIP had cooperated with ININC to establish the office.

China is among leading countries in different fields of nanotechnology, said Sarkar, adding that recent achievements have situated Iran among top 5 countries in this regard.

He also described previous Iran-China nano cooperation in Suzhou as “successful”.

Iran's first nanotechnology center was opened in 2015 in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province. 

The Symposioum on Promoting Industrialization of Innovative Technologies in China (Guangzhou) and Iran was also held on the sideline of this event and a Memorandum of Understanding on strategic cooperation was winked between Iran and Guangzhou authorities.

Also, an exhibition of Iran’s nanotechnology achievements was held in the same event.
