He made the remarks in a Tuesday meeting with Uzbekistan’s Security Council Secretary Viktor Mahmudov in Tehran.
Expression concern over aggravation of political, social, economic and security crises in Afghanistan, Shamkhani criticized NATO operations in the country which deepen insecurity.
He went on to say that Iran and Uzbekistan can help to enhance security and economic situation of Afghanistan by working with each other and supporting the National Unity Government.
Describing terrorism, separatism and extremism as the common challenges of the region, he said that Wahhabism is the ideological ground for establishment of Takfiri Terrorism which was founded by some world powers and supported by some “silly” states of the region.
Iran is ready to transfer its invaluable experiences regarding the fight against terrorism to other countries of the region, he highlighted.
Iran is ready to expand bilateral ties with Uzbekistan in political, security, military, economic and technological areas, he also added.
Mahmudov, for his part, said that Iran’s statements in Moscow International Security Conference has created a clear constructive perspective for establishing sustainable security and expanding multilateral ties in the region.
Recent crises in Afghanistan is a pain for all states of the region, he said, highlighting that special support should be provided for the country so that it can fight instability and insecurity.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Mahmudov touched upon the enormous potential of economic cooperation between the two countries, saying that Iran-Uzbekistan constructive ties is not against any country and not influenced by third parties.
