TEHRAN, Apr. 18 (MNA) – during a meeting with Iraqi Army's Chief of Staff, Lieutenant General Othman al-Ghanmi, Iranian Minister of Defense Brigadier General Amir Hatami reassured that Iran is ready to cooperate with Iraq in all areas.

Brigadier General Amir Hatami, Iranian Minister of Defense and Armed Forces Logistical Support, met on Wednesday with Iraqi Army's Chief of Staff, Lieutenant General Othman al-Ghanmi and the military delegation accompanying him in Baghdad.

During the meeting, Brig. Gen. Hatami extended greetings on Iraqi’s victory over terrorist groups and voiced Iran’s strong support for Iraqi nation and government.

“The view of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Iraq is an extensive perspective based on united and solid Iraq and we hold that Iraq’s security and stability matters for the whole region,” reiterated the Iranian defense minister.

Pointing to the capabilities and capacities of Iranian Ministry of Defense and Armed Forces Logistical Support, the Iranian official voiced his ministry’s readiness to develop bilateral cooperation in intended areas.

The Iraqi official, in this meeting, for his part, referred to extensive cooperation between Iran and Iraq in the war against terrorism to clear Iraq from the terrorists and voiced gratitude for Iran’s bold and brotherly role in the anti-terror campaign.
