TEHRAN, Apr. 16 (MNA) – Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif met with Tajik President Emomali Rahmon on Monday in Dushanbe and the two sides vowed to do their best to expand bilateral ties between the two countries.

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, who left Tehran for Tajikistan’s Dushanbe on Sunday, to attend the 23rd meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO), met with Tajik President Emomali Rahmon on Monday.

The two officials vowed to develop bilateral relations in diverse areas like politics, economy, energy, and technology.

Also in this meeting, the two sides exchanged views and conferred on bilateral, regional, and international issues and then pointed to huge commonalities between the two countries as a good ground for increasing ties and cooperation between the two countries.
