“The three states [of Iran, Azerbaijan, and Turkey] issued a statement today at the end of the trilateral meeting that one of its articles was in rejection to US decision about al-Quds,” said Iranian Foreign minister Mohammad Javad Zarif on Wednesday.
The Iranian top diplomat made the remarks while addressing the press conference at the end of the trilateral meeting of Baku between the foreign ministers of Iran, Azerbaijan, and Turkey.
“The three countries cooperated closely during the last week OIC summit of Istanbul, and we stressed the rejection of US decision and it is supposed that we keep the shared stance at the emergency meeting of tomorrow in New York,” added the Iranian foreign minister.
The Iranian chief diplomat is referring to the UN General Assembly meeting of Thursday where the extra-ordinary meeting is to collect vote on the US decision of moving embassy to al-Quds.
