TEHRAN, Nov. 27 (MNA) – Iranian U23 wrestlers finished the Senior Under-23 Wrestling World Championships in Poland winning a gold and two bronze medals.

The Under-23 Wrestling World Championships was held in Bydgoszcz, Poland between November 21-26, and Iran’s under-23 freestyle wrestlers only finished in 8th place.

Mojtaba Gilej at 97 KG weight category won the gold medal, and Younes Emami and Amin Taheri at the weights of 65 and 125kg respectively gained the bronze medals. Meanwhile, Iranian Alireza Karimi another Iranian representative left the competition because he had to compete against an opponent from Israel.
