Malatya Yeşil Cinema will also screen 'The Blue-Veiled' by Banietemad on November 15 and will hold a conference where Banietemad will meet with her fans.
'The Blue-Veiled' narrates a story in rural Iran, where a tomato factory owner Rasul Rahmani (Ezzatollah Entezami) is widowed and still saddened by the loss of his wife. Meanwhile, poor factory worker Nobar (Fatemah Motamed-Aria) works for a low wage while caring for her family. The two strike up a friendship when Rasul learns of Nobar's struggles, and this closeness eventually becomes a romance. But with differences in class and age worrying his tradition-bound family, Rasul might not be able to pursue his newfound love.
An Iranian actress, Fatemeh Motamedaria, will serve as a jury member for the feature film competition section in the festival and a specialist on Iranian cinema, Sabire Soytok, will serve as the head of the jury.
The 7th Malatya international Film Festival will run from 9 to 16 November in Turkey. 'Blockage' by Mohsen Qaraee and 'Motherhood' by Roqieh Tavakoli will take part in the feature film competition section. The directors and the leading actors of both films will attend the festival.
Two other films, 'The Voice' by Dariush Najafi Gol and 'The Common Hole' by Asmaa Ibrahimzadegan will take part in the short film section. Three films from directors from Tabriz, Ardebil and Oroumieh will also participate in Futile Borders.
Malatya international Film Festival is held every year in the city of Malatya, Turkey. It screens Feature films and short films from Turkish and world cinema and consists of various sections such as international competition, premieres, and cinema courses.
