“The blood-sucking regime of Israel is delusional in assuming that by killing the Palestinian youth, it can guarantee its hollow security and weaken the will of the suppressed people living in occupied lands,” Bahram Ghasemi said in a statement on Tuesday.
He went on to add, “seven decades of bloodshed, aggression and child-killing have not made the slightest dent in the will and determination of the patient and courageous people of Palestine.”
At least eight Palestinians lost their lives when the Israeli military destroyed a tunnel in a southern town of the Gaza Strip. The Palestinian Ministry of Health said the number of those killed could rise significantly because a large number of people are still missing after the tunnel's collapse.
Following the attack, The Palestinian resistance movement Hamas said in a statement that the Israeli action threatened a "new war against Gaza people."
