TEHRAN, Oct. 21 (MNA) – Iranian President Hassan Rouhani has introduced to the parliament his candidates for the two posts of minister of energy and minister of science, research and technology.

Reza Ardekanian, President Rouhani’s candidate for heading Ministry of Energy, and Mansour Gholami the candidate for the post of minister of science, research and technology, were officially presented to Iranian parliament on Saturday, according to the spokesman of Iranian parliament’s presiding board.

Back in August, when President Rouhani introduced his cabinet outfit to the MPs, he did not name any candidate for the post of minister of science, research and technology.

Rouhani’s candidate for energy minister, Habibollah Bitaraf, did not manage to win a confidence vote and the ministry has since been headed by an acting minister.

A confidence vote session will be held for Rouhani's two nominees next Sunday.
