TEHRAN, Oct. 16 (MNA) – Iranian short ‘Limit’, directed by Javad Daraei won the award for best foreign short film in Hollywood Hills Awards.

The film had been nominated for best actor and best director as well, eventually winning the best foreign short film award.

Javad Daraei adopts a spiritual outlook in his films, employing novel imageries to challenge the cliché. His Limit addresses the challenges and problems in the daily lives of the physically impaired people who are scarred by presuppositions and judgements in the society.

The 7 minute short film had previously competed at the 32nd edition of Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival. It has also won an award in MoonDance International Festival.

Based in the Hollywood Hills – home to many of the world’s top screenwriters, actors, directors, and producers – the international Hollywood Hills Awards offers filmmakers the opportunity to show they belong with the other masters of their craft.
