TEHRAN, Sep. 23 (MNA) – Mahmoud Vaezi the chief of staff of President Rouhani’s administration lashed out at US President Trump for the rhetoric he used at his UNGA speech.

“Donald Trump, the President of the US, not only threatened but also insulted the member states of the UN and the personality, cognition, and status of his own nation,” underlined  Mahmoud Vaezi the chief of staff of President Rouhani’s administration on Saturday in a post on his Instagram page.

He made the assertion in reaction to US president Trump speech at UN General Assembly where the American official used a hostile rhetoric of threat against Iran and the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action signed between Iran, Germany, UK, France, Russia, China, US and EU.

“The Media of the world are still feeling the impacts of the two speeches out of all addresses made by al l presidents at the 72nd General Assembly of the United Nations,” reads another part of his message.

“The binary of the ends of the spectrum, on one side hatred, ignorance, and idiocy of US president, whose rhetoric according to the supreme Leader reminds the rhetoric of gangsters and return to pre-20th-century era, and on the other hand Iranian compassion, peace, logic, and moderation showcased by President Rouhani,” Vaezi tried to give an account how the two speeches were received around the world.

“Mr. Trump said that they would destroy North Korea if needed, while President Rouhani called for peace in the region and the world,” asserted the Iranian senior official, “however, President Rouhani delineated that Iran would never threat anybody nor concede to threats.”
