TEHRAN, Sep. 17 (MNA) –The Speaker of Iran’s Parliament, Ali Larijani, said that the anti-terrorism measures of Iran helped the resistance front get stronger in the face of extremists.

“The behavior practiced by the Islamic Republic of Iran clearly indicates Iran’s progress, and the enemies like always are after hurting Iran,” said Ali Larijani, the Speaker of Iran’s Parliament on Sunday. He made the remarks referring to the field of regional issues especially in relation to the JCPOA and nuclear energy.

He asserted that the recent bill passed in the US congress not only is a violation of the JCPOA spirit but is a measure to scrap the bill, “the US should know that as soon as they renege the deal Iran will return to its former position, and even after violation of the JCPOA by the US, the Europeans will still stay with us.”

The top law-maker then touched upon the issue of terrorism in the region, and affirmed that while Iran was at a time the only opponent of terrorism in the region, now the situation of the region has changed and many countries have found the proper way of fighting terrorism.

“Meanwhile, some countries may not accept this fact explicitly, but their actions are proving this,” noted the senior legislator, “because Iran’s efforts in fighting terrorists strengthened the resilience of the resistance front.”

“Iran is neither after an empire nor a crescent,” said the Iranian top legislator referring to the media hype against Iran, dismissing the propaganda that Iran is after forming a Shia crescent in the region. “Our efforts for the Rohingya Muslims and in support of Hamas prove these claims wrong.”
